Membership in The American Legion Auxiliary - Unit 347


Auxiliary Membership Eligibility

You may join the American Legion Auxiliary if you meet the following conditions:

Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary shall be limited to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses (including male spouse of a female veteran), and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of The United States during any of the following periods: April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 and any time after December 7, 1941; or who, being a citizen of the United States at the time of their entry therein, served on active duty in the Armed Forces of any of the governments associated with the United States during either eligibility periods and died in the line of duty or after honorable discharge; and to those women who of their own right are eligible for membership in The American Legion.

If you join before August 31st your membership is valid for the current calendar year. If you join after August 31st your membership is valid for the current year and the following year.

If you need help obtaining the records to prove your eligibility, please visit "The National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records" (CLICK HERE).  This is the repository where  millions of military personnel, health, and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th century are stored.  Information for records is made available upon written request (with signature and date) to the extent allowed by law.  Another resource to help with acquiring a copy of your relative's service records is the "National Archives Record Center" (CLICK HERE).

Auxiliary Dues:  $45

If requested, any "NEW" application recieved after June 30th will be held until September 1st - $45 Dues (A 2026 card will be issued)
