Auxiliary– Madam President Maureen Caswell
April is National Children and Youth Month. The Auxiliary’s Children and Youth program focuses on two primary goals in our community: (1) Care and protection of children of veterans; (2) Improved conditions for all children.
The Auxiliary is currently sponsoring an organization called Kids Central. Kids Central is an agency that deals with many issues relative to children at risk; including meeting the needs of children in the foster care system. The Auxiliary is currently running a lottery board to help raise money for this agency in order to purchase the items that are on their wish list. One item that they never seem to have enough of is boy’s underwear from size 3T up to size-30-32. If you are out and about and happen to think of it, we’d love to supply Kids Central with a good supply of boy’s underwear.
I appreciate and thank you for your support in our Programs and our Events. Wishing you all a very happy and safe Easter.
For God and Country,
Auxiliary– Madam President
Greetings All, and welcome to Spring! We are pleased to announce that Bar Bingo will resume its normal Wednesday and Sunday schedules beginning March 3. Wednesday Bingo begins at 2pm and Sunday Bingo begins at 2:30pm.
Thanks to all of you that have been diligently collecting and clipping coupons. The Auxiliary collects food, non-food, baby and pet manufacturer coupons to help the hard-earned dollars of our service men and women go farther. We send those coupons out to an organization that disseminates them domestically and internationally to various Bases. Year to date, we have collected more than $100,000 of coupons. That’s pretty amazing during a Pandemic! So, please keep those coupons coming. You can drop them off at the front desk of the Post. We truly appreciate your effort!
I want to remind Auxiliary members that our next General Meeting is March 3. Our new start time is 6pm and the meeting will be held in the back of the Lounge. Social hour still begins at 5:30 but is now only 30 minutes. We want you to know that we have been listening to you. Many of our members told us that they do not like to drive in the dark. We are hoping that this time change will enable more of you to join our meetings.
We look forward to seeing you at our Bingo’s and at our Meetings.

Our Holiday Programs are in full swing. I’d like to take this opportunity to formally thank our “Family”: The Legionnaires, The Riders and The Sons. Each year you support us in our endeavor to help local families in need at Thanksgiving and Christmas and we truly appreciate it! Together we make the holidays a little brighter for these families. We couldn’t afford to provide as much as we do to these families without your support. THANK YOU!
Christmas Baskets will be prepared on Monday, December 14 at 10am in the Post Hall. Anyone interested in helping, come on out. Our 75 Angels for our Angel Tree have all been adopted. The gifts need to be returned to the Post by December 2.
Membership renewals are going very well. We are 75% renewed. Don’t forget that we are in the Post Lobby on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12-4 to renew your membership.
I’m wishing you all a very happy, healthy and safe Christmas.
